Great Lever Scavenger Hunt

You now know enough about levers to look for them around your house. Remember that they can of any of the three classes: 1) first-class levers with the fulcrum between the effort and load; 2) second-class levers with the load between the fulcrum and effort; and 3) third-class levers with the effort between the load and fulcrum.

See if you can find the following items in your home, and classify them according to the descriptions above:

Bicycle brake
Bottle opener
Can opener
Crowbar
Door handle
Fishing rod
Nail clippers
Nutcracker
Pliers
Stapler
Toilet flusher
Tongs

Can you find any lever-based devices that are not on this list?
