
Catapults and trebuchets are large medieval weapons that based several different types of levers. While they haven't been used as weapons for over 500 years, some people still like to build these devices a historical recreations, or for contests such as the
Punkin Chunkin competition held annually in Bridgeville, Delaware. There are now punkin chunkin contests held in other places, too.
Teams of people design and build catapults and trebuchets which fling 8-10 pound pumpkins as far as possible. How far do you think they can go? Go to the website to find the answer!
