Look around you. How many colors can you see? Dozens? Hundreds? Thousands? Where do they all come from? We'll be exploring that very question this month.
We see color because of light. If there is no light, there is no color. Obviously, if you're completely in the dark, you can't see anything, whatever it's color! But if the light is dim, we see colors differently than we do when it is bright. Look out a window during the day, then check out the same scene at night. Unless there are very bright lights outside your window, everything looks kind of gray. So, exploring colors will involve first learning about light!
